Experienced board governance at two Pacific Northwest clubs. Elite amateur competitive experience. Seven years running a nationally recognized championship. And 20 years of senior business development at the world's leading enterprise Technology companies
Kevin White is the founder of Inside the Gates and brings a combination of credentials that does not exist elsewhere in the private golf industry — experienced board governance at two Pacific Northwest clubs, elite amateur competitive experience, seven years running a nationally recognized championship tournament, and 20 years of senior business development leadership at VMware, Dropbox, MobileIron, and Microsoft.
On the golf side, Kevin has served on the board at two of the Pacific Northwest's elite golf clubs As a player, he is a Club Champion, Washington State Amateur participant, and active USGA competitor. As Tournament Chair of the Sahalee Players Championship from 2017 to 2023, he recruited Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, and Bryson DeChambeau; converted the event to a top-tier NCAA platform in partnership with the University of Washington; which included a PGA TOUR Fortinet Championship sponsors exemption for the tournament winner.
On the business side, Kevin's 20-year enterprise career is the commercial engine behind the advisory practice. He created new partner-sourced revenue at VMware, led Telco and Global SI partnerships at Dropbox, and built GTM ecosystems at MobileIron and Microsoft. This background shapes the rigor and analytical framework he brings to club acquisition evaluation, governance advisory, and sponsorship strategy.
Inside the Gates exists because no independent, authoritative voice existed at this intersection — and because that combination of credentials is not something that can be manufactured.
